20th of July, 2022

The beach was understandably a favourite destination as temperatures on the west coast climbed well into the 30s Celsius by the middle of Tuesday (19th July), even higher than the highest mark 24 hours earlier. We were out and about in the resort capturing how visitors and residents alike were making the most of the incredible weather.

James (marketing manager for Blackpool Resort) said:

''It is absolutely fantastic seeing Blackpool alive and full with visitors from across the UK enjoying the heatwave. We saw many negative posts about how the heatwave brought Britain to a standstill....well not here! The resort was booming, ice cream stalls and promenade vendors reaping the benefits and we were full in our accommodation. The heatwave just echoes the fact that Blackpool is no doubt the place to be this Summer''.
