Introducing COVID Secure Plus from Blackpool Resort Family

The safety and wellbeing of our guests, colleagues, and the communities we serve is our number one priority. All of the Blackpool Resort Family holiday apartments and holiday homes are self-contained, not only giving you the comfort to enjoy your own space, but also the peace of mind that you are in complete control of who comes in and out of your lodgings.

To ease your anxiety, we have created COVID-Secure Plus, an enhanced programme of cleaning and social distancing measures designed to keep our lovely guests safe and healthy.


All of our self-catering apartments and holiday homes are accredited as COVID-Confident and Good to Go by both the AA and Visit Britain. These accreditations confirm that we have read and implemented the Government’s COVID-19 reopening guidance, understood the guidance from Public Health England and have a COVID-19 Risk Assessment in place. We are notified if there are changes to the official guidance and assessors from both organisations also carry-out random spot-checks to ensure our business is adhering to the guidance.

Cleaning & Hygiene

Our cleaning and hygiene measures include, but are not limited to:

  • Hand sanitizer stations in communal areas
  • Increased cleaning and disinfection of high-touch areas such as door handles, keys and keypads
  • Cleaning using antiviral and antibacterial disinfectants effective against Coronavirus
  • Increased deep cleaning of communal areas
  • We use a professional commercial laundry company to ensure your linens are boil washed, dried at high temperatures and then steam pressed to the highest standard
  • Housekeepers use colour coded cloths that are allocated to different areas to minimize cross contamination and are now even equipped with a UV torch to help see what the naked eye cannot.

Social Distancing

Our social distancing measures include, but are not limited to:

  • Streamlined contactless check-in with keys sanitised and sealed
  • Housekeeping and maintenance teams will not enter your property during your stay, unless in case of an emergency
  • We are a cash-free business - all our payments are contactless
  • One-stop online shop to order and receive extras contact-free
  • Even the Coffee Lounge is cash-less and offers contact-free drinks, snacks, and cakes to sit in at our bubble-tables or to take away
  • Contactless check out

Our team members:

  • Are offered regular COVID-19 tests within the workplace and supported to self-isolate if they receive a positive result
  • Wear face coverings and PPE in all appropriate situations
  • Have daily health checks each morning on arrival to work
  • Have all received training in hand hygiene, infection control and safer working during the Coronavirus pandemic
Staff have been trained in hand hygiene


In line with the government’s COVID-19 secure guidelines, we would like to ask all guests to please:

  • Wear a face covering in all communal areas and the Coffee Lounge
  • Complete the digital registration form prior to arrival confirming you have not experienced symptoms, been in contact with someone with symptoms or travelled abroad in the 7 days before your arrival
  • Only travel when you are fit and healthy
  • Use the QR codes provided to check-in with NHS Test and Trace
